Connect ChatGPT and Codex — SEO Audit Agent

Below are separate instructions. ChatGPT does not require any computer installation. You can ask Codex to add the server itself. SEO Audit Agent does not create an account: a new audit gets a link immediately.

ChatGPT in a browser

While SEO Audit Agent is being published to the public directory, connect it through ChatGPT developer mode. This is a one-time setup.

After directory publication

This page will contain a one-click install button. Until then, developer-mode connection already works and is set up only once.

Enable developer mode.
In ChatGPT, choose your avatar or account name → Settings → Security and sign-in → enable Developer mode.
If the setting is missing, your plan or workspace policy does not yet allow custom MCPs.
Open the plugins page.
The button leads straight to the ChatGPT section that creates connections.

Enter connection details.
Select + and complete the single dialog from top to bottom. All six items below belong to that form. Leave Tools on when it appears.

5. AuthenticationChoose No Auth
SEO Audit Agent does not use accounts or OAuth: each audit’s own link grants access.
Do not choose Mixed or OAuth. Those modes open an unnecessary sign-in dialog.
6. ConfirmationCreate the connection
Confirm I understand and want to continue, then select Create or Create connection. No sign-in dialog should appear.
Enable SEO Audit Agent in a new chat.
Create a new conversation, open the tools menu, enable SEO Audit Agent, and send:

Codex

The simplest approach is to copy the task below into local Codex. It adds the server and checks the connection without authentication.

Automatic connection prompt

Connect SEO Audit Agent to this Codex as a remote Streamable HTTP MCP.

1. Run: codex mcp add seo-audit-agent --url https://seo-audit.wseo.pw/mcp
2. Verify with codex mcp list and confirm that seo-audit-agent is enabled.
3. Connect without authentication. Every audit is available through its own link.

Do not change or delete other MCP servers. When connected, report the result and offer to start a complete SEO audit.

Manual setup

Through the Codex interface.
Open Settings → MCP servers → Add server. Name it seo-audit-agent, choose Streamable HTTP, paste the address below, leave authentication off, then select Save and Restart.

Start an audit.
Open a new chat and ask for an audit. The agent immediately shows a link you can use to open and continue it in another client.

You can also add the same server with one terminal command:

This version continues available checks without unnecessary pauses and presents new results in a single list with colour indicators. Directory installation will become primary after the plugin is published; for now, the prompt or MCP command above is faster.

Move an audit

Copy the link the agent provides when an audit is created. Paste it into a new chat and say “Open and continue this audit.” The same address opens the web report; no registration is required.
